The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC® ) is an international, nongovernmental, independent, nonprofit organization established in 1993 to promote the responsible management of forests and plantations; that is, environmentally sound management so as to protect and maintain natural communities and forests with high conservation value, socially beneficial, to respect the rights of community workers and indigenous peoples, and economically satisfactory.
In addition to Forest Management (Forest Management) certification, aimed at forest and plantation owners, FSC® provides forest product traceability certification aimed at processors who process certified material, Chain Of Custody (CoC) certification, which allows companies to process and sell their own certified and FSC®-labeled products.
As an FSC®-certified company, Compack Srl therefore meets FSC® standards and is authorized to process, transform and resell FSC® products in accordance with the principles and criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council®.
